Hello, x11-apps/compton and x11-apps/picom are identical.

x11-apps/compton HOMEPAGE = https://github.com/yshui/picom

Is there anything that should be done about this?

I have contacted the owner of ::bruners regarding this situation.

No idea. The correct name is picom, not compton. Which exheres was the first?

Compton orginated in 2013 and changed it's upstream fetch to picom in 2019.

So Bruners compton was implicitly (and badly) renamed to picom in 25 Apr 2020. My exheres is from 4 Jan 2020, so came first. That means I'll not remove it.

Bruner's compton switched to "picom" in Jun 23, 2019.
